SEVEN film festivals for the HD short "Shocked Jock"
Astoria, NY, October 11, 2006 In collaboration with a few ASL colleagues, Michael J. Warner completed a 16-minute HD short called "Shocked Jock" last summer which made its debut screening at the Newport Beach Film Festival in April 2006. (http://www.shockedjock.com)
The production went very smoothly thanks in part to the use of ASL's HD camera package and edit suite which were utilized to capture and edit the piece.
Michael wrote, directed and produced the short which was aided by the editing skill of Ryan Servant, the HD engineering and assistant directing by Anthony S. Lenzo, the lighting direction by Jim Mullen, the camera work by James Palczewski and the outstanding soundtrack created by Kevin Patrick of http://www.adipro.net.
"Shocked Jock" will screen at its seventh film festival, the Big Apple Film Festival, at 6pm on Saturday, November 18th as part of a horrorfest shorts block at the Tribeca Cinemas. (http://www.bigapplefilmfestival.com/)
Previous festivals where "Shocked Jock" has screened are the Connecticut Film Festival, the Harlem Film Festival, the Newport Beach Film Festival, the NY Short-Short Film Festival and the FAIF Int'l Film Festival in Hollywood.
The next upcoming festival after the Big Apple Fest is the Delray Beach Film Festival in March of 2007.
A treatment for a full-length version of the movie is now available for any interested parties, and a full-length feature script is being written by Michael J. Warner as a few agents and producers have expressed interest in shopping it around.
